DALLAS — (BusinessWire) — How many law firms can say their entire attorney roster has been honored by D Magazine as the Best Lawyers in Dallas? The trial lawyers of Johnston Tobey Baruch can.
For the second consecutive year, the team of Randy Johnston, Robert Tobey, Coyt Johnston and Chad Baruch has made the list of top Dallas attorneys, approximately 500 of the 12,000-plus attorneys practicing in Dallas and its suburbs.
“Each case is handled by the Johnston Tobey Baruch team,” says managing shareholder Randy Johnston. “Our strength is that we operate as a team from the outset of a case through appeals.” The firm is experienced in professional malpractice, both suing and defending attorneys, as well as pursuing claims against accountants, investment advisors and other fiduciaries. Firm attorneys also have a long record of handling business and commercial disputes and acting as expert witnesses in such cases.
Randy Johnston is one of Texas’ most renowned trial lawyers, having been selected the top practitioner of professional malpractice by Texas Lawyer (2007) and a Texas Trial Legend by a section of the Dallas Bar Association (2012). He was also selected one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas by Thomson Reuters (2010-11). Randy is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Robert Tobey, also selected one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas (2014-15), is chair of the DBA Board of Directors. He is Board Certified in Consumer and Commercial Law. Coyt Johnston joined the firm in 2008 and has been honored as a Texas Rising Star (Thomson Reuters 2015).
Chad Baruch joined the firm in 2015. He is Board Certified in Appellate Law and handles appeals in civil, family and criminal cases. Chad won the State Bar of Texas’ top award in 2015 – the Gene Cavin Award for lifetime contributions to continuing legal education. He also won the Texas Bar Foundation’s Dan Price Award for legal writing excellence and commitment to the legal profession.
All four JTB attorneys have been honored by Best Lawyers in America.
