Randy Johnston Honored As Texas Trial Legend

April 10, 2012

DALLAS, TX (BUSINESSWIRE) -- Legal malpractice attorney Randy Johnston has been recognized by the Dallas Bar Association as one of the Texas Trial Legends for 2012.

Johnston and four other Dallas trial lawyers were honored recently for their achievements in trial law at the Belo Mansion in downtown Dallas. This event included a panel presentation featuring the veteran professional malpractice attorney along with Carmen Mitchell, Dick Sayles and Paula Sweeney. The late John Howie was honored posthumously with a special recognition.

For almost three decades, Johnston’s practice has emphasized plaintiff’s legal malpractice, stockbroker fraud, accounting malpractice and business disputes.

The Dallas trial lawyer is board certified in civil trial law and has been honored by D Magazine as one of Dallas’ top legal malpractice litigators. He has been featured in Texas Monthly as one of the 100 Top Attorneys in Texas. Texas Lawyer touted him as one of the state’s “Go-to” lawyers in the field of legal malpractice.

He is the author of the regional bestseller, Robbed at Pen Point, and speaks to civic, business and professional groups on how to avoid being cheated by other lawyers, stockbrokers, financial and wealth planners, and “anyone else who will steal your money with a contract or professional degree instead of a gun.”

Johnston is also an accomplished guitar player in a band called Blue Collar Crime (four lawyers and one musician who needs four lawyers). He is a graduate of Brigham Young University on a track scholarship and the University of Texas School of Law.

The consummate Texas trial attorney, Johnston is managing shareholder of the firm, JohnstonTobey, PC, located at 3308 Oak Grove Avenue in the Uptown section of Dallas. He can be reached at 214 741-6260 or Randy@JTLaw.com.
